The finest glassmaking traditions in the world grew from a small region of Central Europe — Bohemia — where artisans have shaped hand-blown crystal for over two centuries. The skill is extraordinary. The heritage, irreplaceable.
But heritage alone doesn't make the right glass for every table.
SKLO was built on the belief that truly great glassware must begin with the people who will use it. In Asia, wine culture has its own rhythm. Warm evenings call for glasses that protect delicate aromas. Lighter-bodied wines — so popular across the region — need a bowl that lets them breathe without amplifying tannins.
And a glass that feels balanced in an Asian hand, at an Asian table, is simply a different object than one designed for a European cellar.
Together with the Sommelier Association of Singapore, we spent 30 weeks translating these insights into a design. Then we flew those designs to Kvetna 1794 in the Czech Republic, where master glassblowers brought them to life in hand-blown lead-free crystal — the same way they have made glass since 1794.
The SKLO Evolution is what happens when you refuse to choose between depth of craft and clarity of purpose. It is Bohemian in its making, and entirely Singaporean in its soul.
